Effectively Learning Geometry through an Augmented Reality Game
Given the opportunity educational applications and games have to engage children with geometry, we propose a virtual game using Augmented Reality. This game consists of levels covering concepts inspired by teacher curricula.
We will collect data about how children interact with the game to understand their motivation throughout their experience. Further, we will test the effectiveness of our application by recruiting children from real geometry classrooms. We will first measure their interest in geometry before playing the game and then six months after. We will also test if children who played the game have improved geometry scores.
